The Problem
In-house information technology costs keep going up as well as localized security threats getting worse. Power, temperature control, I.T. staff, dedicated secure space, hardware replacement, system downtime, updates, and difficulty scaling are just a few of the things that have to be continually managed. These require a lot of time and resources to be successful. Due to strategic planning for availability during peak use, equipment in this configuration will either underperform when needed or underutilize its costly potential.
The Solution
If you are a startup, you probably do not need to migrate to cloud products or services because migrating to the cloud has become a necessity to those that have not already. Many companies now are using more mature products like Salesforce, which I have found that leveraging their plugins will integrate with most cloud product/service providers. Servers are virtualized and can be scaled dynamically, restored or deployed in minutes instead of hours. Virtual working environment resources can be stored in areas closer to where they are being used locally.
The Results
In all cases so far organizations saved a substantial amount of time and money.
- Overall I.T. Cost reduced 36%
- Downtime reduced 50%
- Client satisfaction 100%
